Mindfulness

I am a graduate of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (“MBSRP”), which is a program that focuses upon the progressive acquisition of mindful awareness or mindfulness (which in many Asian languages means “heartfulness”). Mindfulness practices allow us to feel our bodily sensations and our relationships to these experiences while breathing with them, accepting them, and letting them be. This results in a fresh perspective that allows us to take a wider view of all our experiences rather than getting caught up in them.

I have come to appreciate the importance of taking time for myself. This has made a difference in the quality of my life and my self-esteem, as well as on my relationships.

Mindfulness is a way of giving yourself some time to dwell in deep relaxation and well-being and to remember who you are!
